Nice Archive Footage there Paul from the Earl years of the Moors? Did you go and film at the Moors Diesel Gala this weekend?
No gave it a miss due to the weather plus I was doing other things Fri & Sat
Quite incredible they managed to reinstate a half dismantled railway, in their free time, when times were hard. Bravo! 👏
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nice Footage there Paul of the Scot and Black Five in action
If you could post photos I’d be able to show you all the morning the bridge came down at Stamford bridge
Quite an interesting video there Paul, about the S & T department with BR on which you be involved with BR?
Excellent footage there Paul. Was a brilliant gala the Moors has put on, best steam gala in a long time.
what yrar was this filmed as union of south affrica was retired last year 2022
As in the title Peter 2008
Actually, Number Nine was retired in 2021 not 2022
Excellent footage there Paul. Really enjoyed watching it especially the K1 and K4 double heading and Gresley of course
TRAINS!
Excellent footage there Paul. Especially of Gresley.
Excellent footage there Paul of the 9F on the Goods. Nice to see photo charters back on the Moors again.
Excellent footage there Paul. Especially the footplate ride on Cromwell.
Cheers👍
Looking forward to more of your footage, especially the LNER Festival 2008?
It’s ironic for me to see so many big trains running in that era, because I used (eastern region) network trains for work at the time, and they were among the worst train services in the world.
Thanks Paul for uploading this footage. That a good gala, really like the footage on the footplate of Tornado.
Excellent footage there Paul. I'm just wondering are you going to upload the NYMR Spring Steam Gala 2009 version?
I will at some point😉🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋
first like AND comment on the video!
Excellent footage there Paul.
Cheers
Just received the 50th Anniversary Gala DVD. Really enjoyed watching it. Especially the footage of Gresley and the 9Fs double heading.
Cheers
How come is your last dvd as it says on the end credits?
@@lnerrules-iw6ry been doing them for the NYMR for 17 years now. Think it’s time to stop but I will still be filming but maybe not all the days and putting it on UA-cam 👍
@@lovesteamok That's understandable.
The best ever aircraft in the world 🌎
Go girl go ❤
Fantastic thanks
Almost Stalled at 1:44
Excellent footage there Paul. The 9Fs sounds superb. Looking forward to watching the dvd.
Is the Oakworth Station live view camera still working?
No idea
I like 7Fs they are my favourite locomotives!
What LNER Tank engine is that
If you mean No 29 it’s not an LNER loco. Lambton Colliery Railway No.29 is a preserved 0-6-2 tank locomotive built by Kitson and Company for the Lambton Colliery network in 1904. It was the first 0-6-2T to be employed on that system, and it was later joined by No.5. No.29 was designed to work between Philadelphia and Sunderland. In February 1969, No.29 was withdrawn from service and placed into dead storage. The following year, the locomotive was purchased by volunteers from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, and it was restored to working order. As of 2023, the locomotive remains operational on the NYMR.
@@lovesteamok OOOooooooohhhhhhhhh ok (But which day on February?)
@@lovesteamokand i like its Design, is it kinda custom Built?
Amazing that some of these locos are still operational, except for: - 4MT tank (awaiting overhaul) - Blue Peter (awaiting overhaul) - Green Arrow (cracked block, now a permanent museum exhibit) - Dame Vera Lynn (awaiting long term major overhaul) - S15 30841 (scrapped for spares)
Nice video great camera work as usual I am really enjoying your lovely videos and camera work keep your lovely camera work up I am really looking forward to seeing your next video bye for now Philip
Thank you Michael 🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋
I remember walking up and down the track and exploring engine sheds at Grosmont with school friends as a kid in the very early seventies. The place was almost completely deserted and run down, this would have been just before NYMR bought the railway it was a very quiet town in those days.
Splendid video with my favorite loco's. I've watched many many of the NMYR video's and this one's one of the best. Although I'm from the USA I'm a proud member of the Society.
Cheers Robert👍🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋
Hhahbanhnqahan😊
Excellent footage there Paul. I never been there before, must go there for a visit some point.
It’s a great place, lots call it narrow gauge heaven 🚂🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋

Hi once again a brilliant video and fantastic photos thanks lovely memories.
Nice Footage there Paul of a nice jolly on the Worth Valley?
Great video and love the photos at the end Thanks
Thanks🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋
Congratulations, NYMR! I visited you in September 2018 from downunder in Melbourne where one of your (sadly departed) former Managers, the late Peter Pay, spent some time sorting out some operational issues for V/Line in 1985/6. I was a close friend of Peter when he was here and we had several railway "jollies" with me as his guide. I was well received by your people and enjoyed a couple of behind the scenes visits to Grosmont Signal Box and Loco Depot. I also enjoyed a pint at the Aidensfield Arms and photographed a few of the "Heartbeat" film locations in and around Goathland.🙂🙂🙂
Excellent footage there Paul, especially of Tornado and the 8F.
Thanks👍🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋
@@lovesteamok Not a problem. Have you got any copies of this dvd still available at all?
@@lnerrules-iw6ry Yes it’s still available on DVD, Blu ray and 4K. DVD is £12 inc P&P from me.
Good combination of clips. Around 3:24 looked a bit dramatic - the P Way people wouldn’t like it! I know it’s a side effect of using a telephoto like focal length, though.
Excellent video brilliant video action thank you
Thanks Andrew
It’s good that the same 2 locos were operating and available for the anniversary. They are arguably the most appropriate locos on the line, being the right size and type for what was most commonly used from the late 19th to mid 20th centuries on the W&P.
Great footage...crisp and clear is fantastic... Thanks...🙏
Nice video Paul :)
Thanks Simon
Locomotif steam, ❤❤ i like this
Of the many videos I have watched, this is indeed a standout. Well shot and edited without a second of boring nothingness. Well done.👍
Thanks Warren
Excellent footage there Paul. Nice to see Terry Newman driving the J27 and Chris Cubitt driving his beloved Lambton Tank. Nice to see John Bruce as signalman at Goathland exactly 50 years ago to the day for all 3 gents. Is the footage going to be used for the 50th Anniversary Gala dvd?
Yes the footage will be going on it after Sept👍🚂🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋🚋
Excellent. Thanks Paul for that.
